Weddings and civil partnership ceremonies can be held at Castell Coch near Cardiff, Caerphilly Castle, Plas Mawr Elizabethan Townhouse, Conwy, and Tretower Court and Castle, Brecon Beacons.

Most of Cadw’s sites are available for private hire, but only a small number have covered spaces, including the Great Hall at Caerphilly Castle, which is suitable for parties of up to 200 people, and the Gatehouse Gallery at Plas Mawr Elizabethan Townhouse, Conwy, which can accommodate up to 50 people.

Cadw sites make great film locations. Tretower has starred in The Libertine alongside Johnny Depp and in Restoration with Robert Downey Jnr and Meg Ryan. Dr Who has been known to land at several of our sites too!

Commercial photographers and amateur groups are welcome to hire Cadw sites for a photographic shoot. Many couples like to have their special day recorded using one of our historic properties as a backdrop. Early booking is recommended.
