Pilgrimage 2012

The Pilgrimage will depart from Llanthony Priory on 16 June 2012 and arrive at St Davids on 7 July 2012.

Pope Calixtus II declared that two pilgrimages to St Davids equalled one to Rome and as a result many followed the path. Storyteller and guide Andrew Dugmore will be walking the route of ancient pilgrims, following the tracks of kings, saints, madmen and paupers. It is a journey that asks whether there can be meaning for a modern day pilgrim and whether the pilgrimage could be a timely happening for our age.

The walk will take in castles, holy wells and ancient sites.

At key points along the route there will be events, performances and workshops.
